Kanye West, the famous American rapper, hit the blunt one day before his first presidential campaign to express support for the legalization. He is eager and motivated to free those Black Americans who are imprisoned or punished on cannabis offenses.
In his Southern Carolina political rally, he expressed concern and the need for marijuana availability, while mentioning other sensitive subjects such as the criticism of Harriet Tubman.
Even though initial reports indicated that West voiced support for cannabis legalization, there seems to be some sort of miscommunication about his actual comments because the rapper did not use a mic during the speech.
Concerns were raised on West’s seriousness to run for the presidency because the deadline to turn in signatures for November’s ballot access in Southern Carolina passed without him submitting any petitions.
